By re-taking historic photographs, using the same locations and angles as the original, Texas landscape photographer Richard Reynolds illuminates the march of progress in the Lone Star State over the last 140 years. Because the Texas landscape has been changed by invading armies, its own bid for national independence, and much wealth and prosperity in the 1970s and 80s, the changes from picture to picture are often startling.  Reynolds' 15-month odyssey covers over 25,000 miles and includes not only big cities and small towns,  but also many of Texas' most revered historical sites and most distinctive natural landforms..
